'Killing Me Softly With His Song' and 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' are not only among the greatest songs of the 1970s, but of all time. R.I.P. Roberta Flack.

I always tear up, one of my Favorite Songs. No auto-tune, Perfect Melodic tones, no swearing or sexual context, just beauty. Happy Tuesday!

It will never get better than this. As great as Lauryn Hill is, this song belongs to Roberta Flack. I just love her here.

I picked up Miss Flack from the airport once in the Tampa Bay area and took her to her hotel then to her venue in Clearwater. I built up the courage to ask her to sing me a verse of this song which she did. It was a magical moment.

None of the covers do justice to this version. I remember hearing this song on the radio as a child, it was one of my favorite ballads.

It's not very endearing to praise someone, but putting down another ... but it's the times we live. Everyone is a singer today, and most of them can make it through a song...maybe pressing too hard at times. Watching RF sing this provides a visual of someone who is all natural, not trying to blow away every note.
