Dionne Warwick & Roberta Flack | SOLID GOLD | “Killing Me Softly”' (3/7/1981)

From our 1st Season of Paramount's hit 80s TV series, "SOLID GOLD", enjoy our host, DIONNE WARWICK and co-host ROBERTA FLACK singing a duet version of Roberta’s hit, "KILLING ME SOFTLY", arranged & produced by myself (Solid Gold's musical director and theme composer, Michael Miller - aka "Mickle"). The performance is from Season 1 - Episode 26 of SOLID GOLD, which aired on Mar. 7, 1981.

Remember… Miss Dionne Warwick was a back up singer first… her ear is impeccable. Gorgeous harmonies, gorgeous…and it seemed very unrehearsed and natural. Just perfect.

It is sad we will never hear the beautiful and soulful voice of Roberta Flack again. I am glad there are videos and specials like this around so we can look back and remember visually. I am so glad I have in my CD collection the greatest hits of both artists!
