When I speak Japanese I swear it takes people a second to even process, its like a factory reset goes off in their brain when they see a Black American guy speaking their language. Still far from fluent but have been getting more confident after a year of practice. Thanks to people like you and Lashou, I gave it a shot.

Thank you for what you do. I was blessed to have worked in over 28 countries in the world, mostly Africa. I took French in high school, but don't remember much other than what I remembered in some of the countries in africa that were former french colonies but I learned a little bit of twi in Ghana and a little bit of Dari in Afghanistan. I'm so impressed with your abilities!
