Bird attack solution | DIY grape bags | Growing wine | Fruit protection in my garden

My grapes are ripening and the birds are attacking the fruit so I needed to DIY a solution! I had some enviromesh fabric left over from sewing the marquee so I thought I would make some mesh grape bags to foil the pesky preditors. There were a lot of them (bags not birds - it was actually just one bird who had figured out this tasty opportunity in my garden!) so I needed a 'production line' approach to make them quickly and efficiently. I can up with the method in this video and I thought I'd share it in case others were having the same problem.

I'm really pleased with the result. They seem very sturdy and certainly have stopped the birds so far so fingers crossed that the grapes will reach maturity and become the wine they are destined for :-)
