So i see in the comment that people say so shit about the legion, as a french citizen i can’t let them do that:
- no the légionnaire will not be forgotten, he is someone that will spill is blood for à country that is not his. For that is name will be write in the register of the legion. And one of the traddition of the legion is to pay hommage to the vet and the former legionnaire.
- the french foreign legion is not a mercenary group… there not sent in warzone every fucking time, or are shock troops. There are elite troop, there job will be to be sent with the regular troop or before them to clean and help them to advence.
- 5 years of service, that what you have to do to demand a french citizenship, if you are wounded in combat you will gain the citizenship automatically.
- the thing that makes the legion so special is recrutement process and their traddition. Discipline is above anything « la mission est sacrée, tu l’exécute jusqu’au bout et si il le faut au péril de ta vie »
Everyone who is capable is welcome to the legion, yes if you where a criminal in your old Life you can become a legionnaire EXCEPT if you have done a blood crime or a rap*, the DSP-LE is a arms of the legion specifically build to track all the past life of the future legionnaire. Si no there is no « big »criminal in the legion.
