Say what you want about Zilla but I grew up with this flick. It’s essentially what introduced me to Godzilla in the first place. So this for me is a genuine guilty pleasure movie. Don’t give a flying fuck what other ppl say. This movie hits home for me.

That shot of him running round the corner to get his first proper look at Godzilla is so, so underrated

This is the original place from where the phrase "cameraman never dies" started ❤❤

I love the concept that Zilla simply exists as the actual personification of Nuclear Pollution coming from an iguana which honestly is what Godzilla always reminded me of. But I appreciate Zilla existing and Godzilla being a different type of entity. I just love Zilla man. He simply exists off his own thing. Even has kids in the movies. It's sweet.

I also love the fact that unlike Godzilla he doesn't have a burning hatred of humans but rather is a confused creature born from human activity.

I love how when Godzilla shows up, the citizens don't do much about the massive shaking, as if it's a regular thing.

As much as I hate this movie, for many Godzilla fans this was their first Kaiju movie and it holds a very special place in their hearts. That works for me, and I'm very happy they got to appreciate this one.

Maybe not the best film, but VHS, but childhood, but no internet then, no school, passion for monsters.... Yes, it is my nostalgic friend...

Me and my dad from Alabama went to see Godzilla in theaters when I was younger in ft Lauderdale where I was from where he used to live at the time and I thought it's still good til this day if you're watching in 2020.

One minute your enjoying a hot coffee, the next a giant creature walks past the window. Always expect the unexpected kids.

I can relate to this scene so much. Whenever you need an object, you can't find it and when you desperately need to use an item/technology it always backfires on you.
