Awesome of Mike to have lent you his camera for the day! I found you through him, so it's nice to see that you guys still hang out and take photos together! Reading the title of the video, I was curious to see what you would think of it since the X100V is all the rage at the moment. Though I won't be getting my hands on an X100V soon (likely never!), I feel my opinion would strongly align with yours. Still, you've taken some amazing photos with it! I couldn't help but smile at the one from 12:05 in particular. As ever, looking forward to your next video!

Owned one and sold it.
Turns out I'm a long lens type of guy.
However it is a thing of beauty.
You can drive a Ford or a Merc, it all depends on how deep your pockets are.

I own an X-T30 II which has basically the same specs as the X100V, it's the same size, you can change lenses, and costs much less. Don't see any reason to justify buying an X100V.

speaking of hype, would you like to test a Leica camera, like the M11, just to prove whether such a product holds any water or there is just an unnecessary hype around it

For me this camera sits in a weird spot that doesn’t work for me either. It’s small, but not small enough to fit in any pocket. It has no interchangeable lens, so it’s very restrictive as an only camera. Also it’s unavailable and super expensive.

I opted for the Ricoh GR iii as an every day carry when I don’t feel like carrying my XT4 and lenses. Its the smallest APSC camera and it’s actually quite amazing and has colors that would even make Fuji run for its money.

Your friend is now using another more hyped 4 times more expensive and less capable camera taking the same kind of meaningless images as before with the Fuji. Alan Schaller, Alex Webb, Mark Fearnley for recommendations
