The standard mount is very soft and over time becomes softer. Adding the Powerflex bushes will reduce the amount of engine movement on hard acceleration. This helps make gear changes smoother and also prevents issues when using aftermarket power pipes and exhausts that are less flexible than the OEM parts they replaced.

If the rubber in the engine mounts have split then they probably need replacing. You'll notice a huge difference with new ones. The powerflex bushings just help to revive tired old mounts and make the engine a bit tighter. I've had the bushing installed on my astra for almost a year with no problems at all.

Hello, On powerflex site stays thet you can order 1 part for the lowering kit, why did you put 2 parts ? can I put only one?

@wasim18m If your car is an Astra G (1998 to 2004) then the website will have the mount on it. I don't know what your car is mate, but if the powerflex website doesn't have the mount for your car then they probably don't do them.

The alternative is you can fill the empty space around the rubber of the standard mount with polyurethane silicone sealant. Once it's dry it'll have the same effect as the powerflex mount at only a fraction of the cost.

@wasim18m Yes, the mount will keep the engine tighter when it rocks back and forth during hard acceleration. But you can feel the engine vibrations a bit more (starting the engine feels a bit violent.... same as in a 2.0 16v Calibra).
I recommend it if you have the money to spare. But I'm not familiar with your engine, so I don't know how much of a difference it would make.

Clearly this is not my invention and I am just installing an aftermarket part, so no need for the personal attack.

Car manufacturers have to meet a tight budget and strict noise and emissions levels. Some designs become compromised from a performance point of view.

This engine mount bush compliments other modifications that people do to their car.

If this mount will "destroy all parts of the car with time" please let us know what parts these are. I would be interested to know.

Hi mate, I've got a swift sport and theyve got the same engine mounts apparently. So what's the difference like? Is it shaking the whole car?
I had a clio sport and I put a solid engine mount on it so I keep thinking it's going to be the same with my swift.
But if you say it's good daily driving then that's the only verification I need man.
