How to prevent a sliding barn door from opening or closing on its own

For your average DIYer, installing a barn door can be a learning experience - to put it mildly. But what about after you've installed the door? Even professionals have problems with the doors naturally wanting to open or close themselves. All it takes is the tiniest incline in your rail system for it to happen. But the solution is surprisingly cheap and simple - and it won't ruin the look of your beautiful door! If your barn door keeps opening or closing on it's own, you can use a felt pad to hold the door in place. It's just that easy.

I didn't have a small felt pad on hand but I did have some moleskin! I just cut it to size and that worked perfectly! Thank you!!!
