One of the things I've noticed about Supros is that when you are standing or seated in front of the amp, the text for the controls is upside down. The text is right side-up only if you're behind the amp. Some may not consider this a big deal, but it's still something to keep in mind.

sounds great. finally companies are starting to understand the need for home amps. ide swap the first preamp tube(v1) to a vintage rca 12ax7a or brimar cv 4004 both will add warmth and richness to the mids and take this amp to the next level. i have a bassman 5 watt handwired clone built for me and a marshall 1974x which is 18 watts i love small amps .

Best review on this amp. You cover a lot of points that I haven't heard talked about. Appreciate the master volume demo. I think I'm going to get one over the video champ but still thinking about it. I have several small watt options including the delta king 8 but this has a lot more options and versatlity. I subscribed. Thanks.

The sound you get at 1:11, is what I call the Electric Guitar sound. MY Opinion. What I like I guess, like the opening of Him or Me by Paul Revere and the Raiders. But to each his own, some are into that HIGH GAIN super Crunch. That part/sound, would be a GREAT Tonex Capture that I would use. It's that Chirpy/Sparkly/Jangly Sound. I think GOOD paf's, and the Gibson Custom Bucker pickups have that sound built in. Thanks for an Honest demo, one way to make these Amps sound Bigger larger speaker cabinets, 12, or 2 12, 4 12's, but would not be an HONEST demo. I looked up this model on Reverb, the ones I saw only have a Volume knob on them. I would buy one over a Blues Junior.

I have one and love it for a bedroom amp, and pl a y clean with a little hair.
My advise is to Play one before buying .
They are built like a tank nice craftsmanship rock a sold., but they are very quite not loud as you my think of corse it's a five watt amp, and ideal for apartment use, they a sound way bigger on the videos here on YouTube because they are mixed up. You may be disappointed when you buy one blind.. so go play one, I think the are a little pricey for what it is .but it is perfect for late night practice when you don't want to wake up the wife or kids or neighbors. But don't expect it to be loud with putting a mic to it.
Some people are disappointed when the realize the low volume but 5 watts is not what you may think, great for certain things and sounds very good. And has some cool and useful features built it makes it shine, just don't want you to get disappointed with 5 watts, 5 watts and totally clean with no break up gain backed off to super clean is very low volume perfect for me at night when the wife's asleep at midnight. Perfect for that.
The main reason people return them is they are disappointed in the clean volume and the price, they do sound great clean with just a little gain, but to harsh with the gain turned up to much...

They could be higher quality, especially for the price but you cannot deny the good tones. The only thing I don’t like is the constant discontinuing of amps and introducing new ones. A lot of the amazing classic ones were cut.

The tone between 1606 and 1605r is quite different. Personally, I think 1606 is better, with more punch. However, I still ended up buying 1605r, needing the master volume and reverb for low volume use. If you can crank up the volume, I would recommend 1606.

It is priced similar as the amulet, what could possibly justify that? Amulet has more features, more volume but also able to attenuate. Is the tone in the Super 64 better than the amulet? One is import and the other USA made?
