The '64 Reverb is a 5-watt, 1x8 combo amp featuring tube-driven spring reverb. This ultra-compact and gig-ready amplifier provides independent gain and master volume controls, along with a 2-band EQ for maximum flexibility. Three line outputs optimized for feeding another guitar amplifier or recording console are driven by the preamp tubes before the master volume, allowing the player to tame the on-board speaker from rock gig to bedroom rig, as well as easily utilize the all-tube outboard gain/reverb as an effects unit or direct recording preamp. Now featuring an 8-inch Jensen C8R speaker for compact, solid tone regardless of environment.

Supro is one of the original rock & roll music brands. First manufactured in Chicago from 1935 to 1968, Supro amplifiers and guitars are featured on landmark recordings by iconic artists such as Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones and David Bowie. Revived in 2013, Supro now offers a curated range of vintage-inspired tube amps and analog pedals that capture the legendary Supro sound.

That's how you do it. Completely different guitars to compare. This is the first demo of this amps which really gives me an idea of the sound. Most others only used a strat or tele and some even added some pedals...

This should be great. I have the regular 1605R from a couple years ago and the only complaint I have comes (I think) from the speaker, which has a low end that's hard to dial out even with the bass knob down near zero. Other than that, I think this is the best low-watt amp out there, especially having the master and gain knobs so you can get some drive at seriously low volumes, as well as the great tube driven spring reverb. Plug and play is so easy on this without pedals.

I also have the Benson Nathan Junior which is about the same wattage, but it doesn't break up at what I consider low volume, and has no master volume. It's an incredible sounding amp so I'm not knocking it, but it isn't apartment friendly by any means. Also, the 1605R dry-out going into the front of the Nathan Junior is the best sounding overdriven amp sound, and allows the 1605R's speaker to be wet-only for some great ambient sounds. It's really fun to play those two together.

0:50 Why the knobs are the other way around ? 🤔

Could it be the sound is more mushy than with the Eminence speaker? I've seen videos of the 1605 where the clean tones are extremely crisp. That's not that case here.

Would it be possible to use one of the outputs as a send for an FX loop? Power amp in could be the return I assume? Thanks for the demo.

It’s a great sounding amp. I admit, clipping distortion isn’t really my thing at all, so I find it increasingly amusing when I see guitarists audition amps and come up with a crunchy tone as their “clean” tone. Makes it hard to get a feel for what an amp’s actual clean tone is. To your credit, yours is mostly clean. Still had to put a little breakup in it though. I wouldn’t give you a hard time about it though had you not called it “sparkly clean.” ;-)

How do TV Jones sound thru the Supro? Can the gain be tempered with the master to still get that nice crunch for bedroom level playing?

Not trying to throw some mixed signals here but sometimes the signal have to be mixed up a little bit so they cross over like sounds you never heard

Oh wow how many Supras have been derived from the 50s and 60s it's almost like I went back into the original Taco Bell when they made real tacos that tasted like real tacos

How does it do with pedals does it take them or is it prefer to be played without them?
