you made my day... I was insisting on using the wrong key ("canc" on my italian keyboard, which is "delete" on us keyboards), while the right key is "<--" (or "backspace" on us keyboards)

you can also do it like this.

hold alt key on windows or option key (i think) on mac and highlight or click the audio using left mouse button. this will not auto select both the audio clip and the video clip.

this way it will be faster without unlinking the the clips.

You can just double click the video from the library in the edit window and then an icon appears with video/audio. Just drag the video to your timeline and it will add it without the audio. Much easier.

The problem is I have dozens of clips in my timelime. How can I delete audio in one step, without doing it dozens of times ? BTW: I am dealing with large number of clips as my dash cam is producing 1 clip from each 3 minute of recordings ..

My issue is even worst, i add some background music to my video, when i try to delete it, the video that has no link at all is deleted together, actually all that portion of timeline is removed LOL
