In Honor of Mako Iwamatsu (1933~2006) original voice of Uncle Iroh it has been 18 years from his passing but he will never be forgotten.

It makes me so sad that Mako will never be able to see how much his character means to people, and how much of an impact Uncle Iroh has made on people

When Zuko talked to Iroh how Lu Ten gave him his officer medal as a good luck charm and actually comforted Iroh, I just cried. It’s just so sad and sweet seeing Zuko trying to be there for his uncle and how much Zuko fondly remembers his cousin

If the live action show does get to go 3 seasons, and they’re kinda making ‘leaves from the vine’ represent Zuko & Iroh’s surrogate father/ son relationship, then they should play this music when the two have their reunion at the end of book 3. And have Iroh give Zuko back Lu Ten’s medal because he is ‘destined for great things’.

I thought the live action made some pretty good changes here and there. This scene was one of them. Zuko and Iroh steal the show, their actors are amazing

For this score alone and Lu Ten's funeral scene, the show deserved a 10/10 😭😭😭😭 it was so unbelievably beautiful

Didn't expect this scene to be included so early, as it was originally addressed in season 2. But they incorporated it really well here.

You just had to make me cry again, didn’t you? You just had to play Leaves From The Vine three times in a single episode, and it broke my heart all over again.

Leaves from the vine.
Falling so slow.
Like fragile tiny shells.
Drifting in the foam.
Little soldier boy.
Come marching home.
Brave soldier boy.
Come marching home.
