Was Pretty excited about getting my hands on this Leatherman!

MagnaCut Blade and true one handed operation along with the bit driver! almost the perfect tool. Only thing I would change is replace the scissors with a serrated edge blade, but overall I think this is probably the new KING in the multitool world!!

I just cancelled my order from REI after learning the hard cutter issue, I will wait for the issue to be rectified and then order. Victorinox MX clip is my trusted and favourite MT as of now with these advantages - chisel/package opener, better rust resistance, better can opener, ergonomic handle, uncoated knife, cheaper, more robust build, no big hole on the file, more variety of wire stripper, shinny finish. Hopefully the hard cutter issue can rectify fast and I can have another excellent MT. And if leather can add measuring cm and inch scale on the edge:)

@9:20 there is only one option for the micro driver, as far as I know and looked all over the site.

What’s a pan of caint and why would you be banging on one?

Some reviewers say the Arc and P4 are more flexible in the torsion/twisting direction and not as rigid and solid as the Wave.

The sheath is a bit tall for that multi tool.

I'm really wanting a Surge, but it doesn't seem realistic for EDC, more of a "keep in the vehicle" tool. That led me to the charge, but if I spent more money on this I could do away with a dedicated knife which means less to carry and that's good for what I want out of EDC.

Check out the timestamp 13:21, where you can see that one pliers jaw is thicker than the other.

I just checked out my ARC and I have the same problem, but perhaps not as bad as this guy's pliers. I consider this to be a MUCH bigger deal than the replaceable wire cutters, because other videos have shown that if you simply cut the wire more forward from The Gap at the very rear of the pliers, they cut normally and do not Bend or break.

And anyway, the wire cutters are replaceable and I've heard that Leatherman is sending out free replacements, whereas the Jaws are basically the main part of the tool and are not replaceable, except under the warranty. And from what I've learned dealing with Leatherman's customer service on other issues, I find their customer service department to be overworked, under-resourced and unwilling to do enough to make things right for the customer.

I'm a first-time Leatherman owner but I've been using tools for 50 plus years. By the way, Victorinox is Swiss Army knives don't come with defects. Full stop.

The additional pocket clip holes don't help us lefties at all. They would need to be on the opposite side of the same arm in order to clip into the corner of the pocket. That's not really a big deal, though. The big issue for lefties is needing to use our middle finger to open the knife one handed instead of our thumb. They will never make a true lefty tool, but maybe one day, the positions of the large tools can be swapped without needing to modify the tool and voiding the warranty. But I'm not holding my breath. We're an adaptable ~10% of the population, so we'll be alright.

They need to make spring-loaded pliers like the Garage edition and customers will pay more no problem.

Every main outlet is reporting the ARCs wire cutters breaking and shattering for this price point they really skimmed quality on the most used part of it

Leatherman needs to make a spare bit holder that screw into those unused holes.

A difficult choice between the Leatherman Wave and the Leatherman Arc. The Arc is easier to open and access the tools. The best add on is a sight adjuster bit extender. This has a magnetic bit holder that works absolutely fine with standard 1/4” hex bits and the Leatherman bits. The Arc blade is less aggressive looking compared to the Wave, so a bit more friendly when used in public. The Arc is worth the extra expense in my opinion, but the Wave is a good second option that won’t let you down.

STAY AWAY from Leatherman. I paid them $240 for an Arc and paid extra to engrave my name on it, only to get the item and it looks like the engraving was done by a 3 year old. When I called them, they were snooty and only offered the $12 engraving fee back. The item is horrible looking with the engraving, as is their customer service.

Arc's garbage. Mine came with a crazy dull blade, Ozark Trail like frame/plier flex, and my wire cutters broke while cutting baling wire. Thing's a $230 paper weight

This was a sub-par review. Basically everything you said was incorrect.

Leatherman's Arc demonstrated a LACK OF attention to detail, and a LACK OF quality control. Virtually every item on the Arc illustrates those 2 features, from the smooth frame, to the useless profile of the dull magnacut blade. Every visible part of the Arc is sub-par. Your failure to note these things is alarming, but speaks volumes for the uselessness of your reviews. Every minute watching your review was a wasted minute of time.

The ONLY things you got remitely right were that the Arc should have had a serrated blade, the slot in the file is a detriment, that Leatherman's flat bits cross models, and that the magnacut blade should not be used for some things.
