Yes...I know this happens in the comics. It is literally one of the first things I talk about in this video. Right afterwards I say this video 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯'𝘵 have anything to do with the comics.
I have gotten way too many comments about this that I sadly need to point this out.

"Heavy only has 3 weapons"

His other fist: Sad day for me

For the TFC sniper, you should mention how his bullet ammo pool was shared and how he could cripple players with leg shots. And for the TFC medic, you should mention the poison/disease mechanic

Really eager to see where this series goes! I'd love to see the next video be one of the more radically different classes like Medic or Demoman, but pretty much every matchup is going to have some interesting points to bring up. Overall, a good solid video, and its nice to have some new TFC rep on youtube!

I honestly think that TFC and TF2 are so different that it would be incredibly difficult or even impossible to compare the 2, but you managed to pull it off so great work!

But did we consider that Heavy knows how to use magic.

yeah TFC can throw grenades while firing minigun, which forces TF2 heavy to either spin-down to dodge the blast or just take the extra damage, the grenades really do it for TFC

Man, I didn't know how much I wanted this series. I especially love the art, the fair & balanced discussion, and the pretend TF2 stats for the TFC weapons. Keep it up!

It's interesting how much the unlocks make a TF2 Heavy more powerful, and I can see why they were left out; when your opponent can run away and eat his sandwich, TFC would have a much harder time.

Very informative and well-made video. It also provides a unique look into the different designing philosophys of TFC and TF2. Overall a great idea and fantastic execution.

However I don't personally like how you limited the TF2 characters to only stock but I can see why you did so considering how many variables that would bring, if possible maybe you could have a little section after declaring the winner of the "fair fight" talking about how allowing different weapons for the TF2 character would/could effect the fight but that might be a bit much so if I wouldn't complain if you didn't. After all this is still a fuckin great vid and concept so I hope you continue to make them.

For the next matchup, I would like to see my main Scout being compared to his TFC counterpart.

This was great, I especially loved taking the TFC weapons' stats and converting them into TF2 item attributes

Why do TF2ubers always seem to assume their late-to-the-Team-Fortress-party, 20-something adult male experience of coming into the TF franchise with TF2, always around like 2011-16 for some reason, is that of a given person watching their video, or playing TF2? There are a lot of OGs out here who came from TFC (myself included, and even those who started with QTF) who are not vocal TF2 commentators/content creators, hilarious loud randos in in-game VC, or "players" in the TF2 scene, 99.9% of the time. They are literally the random dude you see doing well with the Original in a game, saying literally nothing in voice _or_ text chat, and then disappearing at the end of the match, to go put his kid to bed or something. Or watching a Youtube video without being up all in the comments. We will come out of the woodwork for stuff like this, though. At least you didn't embarrassingly play a round or 2 of 2fort, cry about not immediately understanding the nuances of the game, & judge the entire thing 20 years past its prime with bot servers on the most basic, non-custom stock map in existence.

I like your content btw, I'm not hating, really. TF2ubers covering TFC have left a bad taste in my mouth since STAR, because there was a wealth of (like TF2) super fun custom maps & game modes- many of which did not make it to TF2- 4 team Murderball, VIP mode, minigolf2 where snipers shoot a friendly civilian into a hole across a minigolf course, co-op/escape maps. They usually have a habit of unintentionally crapping on the game in their entitled, whiny tone as they are very audibly baffled it is not the exact same game as TF2 and seems rather dated in comparison (gee I wonder why this 1999 multiplayer game with 1999 graphics running stock maps on dead bot servers with no real humans feels off in 2024).

If you want to see what TFC was like in its heyday look up House of Terror Escape maps (TFC), Axl's TFC maps, and TFC Murderball-2000 map, on here, they will give you a pretty solid glimpse of what the game was like during its heyday.

2:59 what if the TF2 mercs have a lighter stronger more reliable armor and random crits aren’t your weapon getting better but instead your enemies armor failing

Small idea to maybe even out the playing field, if TFC Heavy is allowed to use the grenades, TF2 Heavy should be allowed to have one Sandvich with him (yes I know it wouldnt be possible for him to carry both a shotgun and Sandvich in-game, but Im just making this point to even out the loadout so both of them have their melee, a primary weapon, a secondary weapon and a consumable. This could maybe then be used for the matchups of the other classes.)

I would say this fight is relatively even. In my opinion, the 4 second fuse time on the grenades is just too long to ever truly matter in a 1v1 situation, and the spin-up time is fairly even when the TF2 Heavy is going to be jumping around corners. They don't do enough to even out the advantage Heavy gets from his better TTK. However, the lack of damage falloff is a definitive win over the TF2 Heavy, which gives him the edge at range. Therefore, they do at least have slight edges over the other in different environments. TF2 Heavy has the edge in close quarters, especially around corners, while the TFC Heavy has the edge outside. Therefore, which one has the advantage ultimately depends on the map.

Tfc Heavy is just slightly slower yet he can, just like the explosivd classes, jump using his granades, wich eith the extra armor really makes his mobility scary

I love how people are like “Uhm actually according to tf2 lore tf2 heavy would win 🤓☝️” but when tf2 mercs win nobody bats an eye

In TFC you can bunny hop like a mad man, even if you're heavy. In TFC you can move far faster as heavy than in TF2

I'm sure he would've won in the comics if he wasn't out of his prime (if he's 45 in TFC then he's 87 during the robot wars) and losing blood because of Medic, he did say Team Fortress were clowns compared to ther mercenary teams and the TFC team beat them
