I recently heard that a child psychologist said that "well behaved" children that do as they say and sit still, don't overdo talking or be loud etc etc (be a kid really) is a strong factor that they're most probably abused. Kids are loud, they play, they act up, they bicker - that's how kids are. Kids that don't want to play is very much a sign of something more sinister.

Far too often victims of abuse are removed their homes rather than the abusers. Why didn't they leave the women to care for their children and take away the abusers?

Separating the children from their mothers en masse seems so unnecessarily traumatic... Asking the details about sexual abuse in front of all the children seemed completely insensitive and inappropriate - otherwise, Oprah did an excellent job of asking important questions and giving the residents a chance to share their thoughts. Viewers can read between the lines and come to their own conclusions....
