#40 My Winter Flower Farm Tour

Winter has officially arrived!

I had a very productive fall season here and I think this is the first time I feel like I'm actually ready for winter in my flower field. All the hoses and tools are put away, cover crop has germinated is growing, tarps are laid out to prep for early season seeding, eucalyptus and dahlia rows are smothered in leaves and tarps/tunnels. It feels good!

And not only does that bring me great joy but we have officially made it to winter solstice and that means that the days are starting to get longer again. Spring will be here before we know it!

Thanks for joining me on my winter flower farm tour this week!

So Walter already knows how to use the Gator best too 🐕. Haha, it was sooo cute to see you both in it like that, Ms. Jen. And I love this kind of snowfall, or let's say this form of it when the snowflakes are so big and it looks like someone is shaking out a down pillow/blanket ❄️. Thank you for the beautiful wintery video and the little tour through your fields, Ms. Jen. I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and relaxing Christmas days. Have a lovely Sunday and best wishes to Bob and your kids. 🎅🎄🎁

P.S. Bob mentioned that you are still feeling the effects of the cold/flu that is going around. So I wish you a speedy recovery too. 🍀💚

Snow might be beautiful at first sight but beyound any doubt I prefer sun shining and blue sky.
Now take a rest, enjoy your family recharging your energy for the next Spring when tons of healthy buds will pop up in youlr farm.

Cheers Jen! With my farming life looming in the nearest future I keep a close eye on your nice channel) Though, I can't say I don't have any jitters about it with our poor soil around my city😉 Anyways, I'm thriftily picking your ideas.
...The farming season's over, and everything's the same
The tools are resting in the shed but we will meet again...
And in this nicest time it's good to find
The pleasure of the work we've done, the peacefulness of mind ...
All the best to you and your family❤

Thank You for putting out such wonderful videos of your flower farm this year. I have looked forward to and watched every single episode. You do such a beautiful job of framing the video and editing which brings out the simple beauty of the landscape. I enjoy seeing how flower farming is done in a cold climate. In my retirement I’m starting my own beds, on a much smaller scale (~50’x100’) and find watching your process helpful. Have a great holiday season.
