Each sorting algorithms has it's own set of pros and cons. As an upcoming Software Developer you need to know all the sorting algorithms. Bubble sort runs slower than Merge/Quick sort but when you look at space complexity. Bubble sort is the way to go. So, I hope you got my point.

I bought this one as well as the newest Bootstrap 4 bootcamp from Colt Steele. I haven't had the chance to go through the Algorithms course yet, but judging from the content and by looking at a couple of lectures, this seems to be a very comprehensive course on algorithms and data structures. Simply essential if you already know how to create simple programs. Most of the cool stuff that one would really want to build requires really good knowledge of data structures and algorithms. Another skill that is needed is probably code organization via design patterns, but that is content that I haven't seen from Colt yet.

Interesting. Didn't know this was available. I'll have to check it out. Colt is a Master Teacher.

There are no extra problems after some sections like Merge Sort because sorting is not something you can just apply to a whole new problem. Problems may include you to sort at a certain point and you can just sort using your preferred method. Its not like there are many ways of doing Merge Sort. Rather sections like Recursion have problems at the end because there are many kinds of problems where you would apply recursion and solve the problem. Anyway, nice video. I will be using your link to buy the course.

i'm new to web development and just read an article that it's good to know basics of computer science before learning to code. my question is does a front-end developer need such an extensive course? it's 22 hours long and i'm not sure if i should invest that much time
