Lyrics:

Verse

Holes
Holes
In the curtains
Holes
Holes
In my heart
So I
I patch them up
Holes
Holes
Through the curtains
Holes
Holes
Through my heart
Then I paint them black
Now they won’t let the light in

Chorus:
I got lost in translation
In between the lines no one can read
Then I broke myself
In the places
I didn’t ever think bone could be
Maybe someday I’ll be enough
Not for anyone other than me
Maybe one day I’ll be enough
For someone and that someone is me

Verse

Holes
Holes
In the silence
Holes
Holes
In the chaos
How
Could I fix them up
When I see
Holes
Holes
In my wisdom
Holes
Holes
In my knowledge
How
Do I see the way
Yet my eyes just won’t open

Chorus
I get lost in translation
In between the lines no one can read (everyone)
Then I break myself
In the places
I didn’t ever think bones could be (everyone)
Maybe someday I’ll be enough
Not for anyone other than me
Maybe one day I’ll be enough
For someone and that someone is me

I still get lost in translation
In between the lines no one can read
I still break myself
In the places
I didn’t ever think bones could be
Maybe someday I’ll be enough
Not for anyone other than me
Maybe one day I’ll be enough
For someone and that someone is me

Finding this song, and just listening to it makes me feel 😭😭😭. It reminds me of how we try and get lost in being versions of other people other than of ourselves. Of how, we always let other people define us other than defining who we are.

Wow, I hope that one day, one day I will look at myself and say that I am enough. That me is enough.

This song makes me feel emotions I haven't felt for a while. I think it's something between sadness and hope . I like it if music makes you feel things you can't in other ways.
Thank you for making music. I love all of the songs, you have published, all of them are just beautiful. They are making me feel warm, vulnerabel and yet powerful and strong.
