A standoff over Armenia’s northeastern province of Tavush has turned into a war for the narrative. Residents of the village of Kirants have angrily presented to reporters the deeds to homes, which will be handed over to Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Justice responds that those deeds were provided erroneously.

According to the government, Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed to honor one another’s territorial integrity based on 1976 maps. But while Armenia is ceding territory where it suits Azerbaijan, Azeri troops are not budging.

Armenia’s national security chief, Armen Grigoryan is seeking to reassure the public and diaspora that Azerbaijan will make concessions as well. But in Baku, the Aliyev government and state-controlled media are telling a very different story.

Great summary of the events of the past couple of the days. Thank you, Nare, for pointing out that the Armenian army has been the strongest in the Tavush region. This is rarely discussed in Armenia.

Why no one talk about Armenia and Azerbaijan? No one care for that in the Eurovision. If you need another prove the world is antisemitic
