This is one of the better tutorials I've seen, not just for this subject, but in general. Jeremy sticks to the point, maintains a CLEAR camera focus (usually a big problem in tutorials) on the screen. He types very fast, which moves things along nicely, and he explains things clearly without a lot of excess talk. I got a good overview of Arduino from this tutorial. Thanks, Jeremy

wow - I am about 1 minute in and as a Live Production Engineer I more than appreciate the thought and method that this guy has put in to making this video.

He's still a kid and he's doing amazing things to help people getting into tech.

12 years later and this video helped me so much, just from this first tutorial I ended up coding Morse code into the Arduino, which I then sent the videos to multiple of my friends and they deciphered the code. This just made the learning process extremely fun and makes me look forward to more.

These instructions are more clear and practical than anything I've seen on coursera. Excellent tutorials.

You can simplify the part where you get to Device Manager quite a bit in one of two ways.

1. Hit the Start orb, right click on "Computer", hit "Manage", hit "Device Manager".
2. Hit the Start orb, type "devmgmt.msc" and hit Enter.

If you revise this or edit it or whatever you may want to consider that - the way you chose is rather round-about. :3

Thanks for the tutorial series, though - don't get me wrong - I'm an expert on PC hardware and software but not raw electronics, learning! :D

One of the greatest tutorials I´ve ever seen. I am little upset not knowing about Aduino before starting dealing with drones, APM, etc. I found you because your book and I should really say: Congrats!

Absolutely brilliant! Your a star! I'm currently studying product design at university and despite my tutor being very knowledgeable, I have had no field of practice in this area. I've spent the last few weeks feeling quite low and lost quite a bit of my confidence in design as a whole - struggling to understand and keep up.
