On the day 30,000 arms dealers arrived in London, we were there to meet them...

To help them find their way (the long way round) and point them out to fellow passengers.

- FASCINATING! Very creative. Were you allowed to display grisly photos of what the weapons actually DO to human bodies, or was that not allowed?
- A major problem is the huge divide between the 'sending' end of the weapons, and the 'receiving' end. Once you connect the two, it causes useful grief and more wish for peace. Currently I'm experimenting with going onto military FaceBook websites and engaging in (respectful, reasonable) conversations.
- I hasten to say I that it needs to be done on the 'enemy's websites too, 'get them to meet each other. During the Arab Spring I was fascinated to be be simultaneously YouTube messaging with both sides even as the war raged. And what's more significant, they could message with each other.
- This seems to be a new, and much more promising world than it was in the era of WW1 and WW2 and Vietnam.
- I'd be glad to have one or two comrades with me in these interesting experiments, posting either supportive or even corrective comments - because on my own I'm more likely seen as a crank, but with another one or two, I get more credibility. If you want to join in, you need to be a person who's exceptionally tolerant of insult, and able to stay polite and reasonable despite provocation.
