Nihilism isnt depression

It isn't depression to think that there's no supreme being looking over me, that i will never find the people i loved again, that all i will build is objectively meaningless and etc

This above is nihilism. The life doesn't have divine purpose on me. But i can make my own purpose personally. But objectively... "we're specs of dust"

Incorrect nihilism isn't running or projection of failure on others. It isn't that the goal can't be reached but the futility and meaninglessness of reaching that goal. I have achieved almost everything in life I set out to do and it's never enough. It's changed nothing. The goal itself is pointless even if it is reached it doesn't matter. Even if you go to the gym, get that girl, become a best if the best, or whatever you want to do it changes nothing. It is empty and vain once you get it along with the process and effort used to obtain what your looking for. You desire, suffer then die. This is nihilism.

He believed that it was up to us to create our own meaning in life our own ambitions and drive to live life and that there was no inherent meaning in the universe. Nihilism isn't a state of depression or any kind of believe, it's a law. It doesn't matter you believe on it or not.

As a nihilist this is completely false. It is true i do not believe in things like god or religion. I do not wish to make you believe everything that I believe. However, nihilism does not equal depression. Being a nihilist means to realize that you are insignificant but not in a bad way. Everyone is different but in my mind I find it comforting. I think it’s comforting to know that all my mistakes and also accomplishments will be erased along with the universe, for the universe to come back once more and to repeat over and over again. I have no problem if you believe in God. I believe that everyone should be treated equally regardless of religion, gender, etc. Please do not spread word about other people/religions that is false and misleading to others. Think of being a nihilist is like having a blank canvas and you being the artist, you know that the canvas will be erased one day, so as a result you can choose whatever you wish to paint on it. It doesn’t have to be depressing, and it doesn’t mean everyone will draw the same thing. It’s about what you make of life knowing you wont cause a negative or positive influence on the universe not that we don’t have the motivation to do anything because nothing matters. Please be respectful to all and if you are going to talk about other people/religions, please do accurate research.

This guy clearly doesnt understand what nihilism is he got maybe 2 aspects of it right but everything else is just projecting depression is within nihilism yes its possible but those just so happen to be nihilist with depression that DOESN’T!! mean depression is nihilism they are two total different things can nihilism drive depression maybe for some but i advise those people to live by a different philosophy and lifestyle its not for them there’s a lot of people that has found happiness and more driving life when seeing the bigger aspect of life, looking at it from a universal point of view they see that it’s all meaningless and I can go on and on for days on why it is and the absurd and mundane things we care about, and do day in an day out on an average is just silly but thats ok because it takes a huge weight off of some people and they recognize to drive and make their own meaning which everyone does within a meaningless world not saying nihilism is the answer, and it’s not completely the right answer to the universal meaning but it’s still a choice and it’s still a option no matter how much we evolve, no matter how much we advance. It is inevitable, for us to always not know the true answer of our creation, and the universal meaning for all walks of life and all species within the whole of the universe and I guarantee you there’s lifeforms out there that are doing the same thing we are, and not truly know, and have ignorant people within society that like to stay, warm and cozy and feel good in they’re ignorance, ignorance is bliss not saying nihilism is the answer not that at all, but what I am saying is, it’s just another philosophy of life to live by they can actually bring you benefits to not be affected by the misery or be shackled down by the pointless materialism of life and forces of sheeple and not living your life by how the societal norms tell you how to live but not for all, but what this guy is saying in the vid that is not the idea and the philosophy of nihilism 😂🤡🤡

No dude, nihilists have no problem accepting that there are things we can build and work toward. They arent trying to deny any of that, its just that there is no value to any of it, no objevtive meaning. Its not about sadness and suffering, because sadness and suffering themselves are fabricated within our own minds, and have no objective purpose. Ask yourself why enough times and eventually you arrive at a place where there is no longer an answer, pointing to an overall meaninglessness outside of what we prescribe to everything around us. Nihilists dont want to spread negativity to everyone around us, we dont care whether everyone is suffering or everyone is living in harmony. Both mean nothing in our collective meaningless existences, and frankly, even my attempt at explaining this has no purpose but im doing it because i feel like it and my meaningless fabricated emotions point me toward an attempt at explaining this belief that i hold, all of which does not matter.

People like this think the gym is the solution for world problems. The solution is money. Without money you're nothing in this world. All of our souls will taste death someday. And there is nothing to do to stop it other in beleiving on what you think is right. This is not se kind of advice it is the truth. The world is a paradise for non beleivers and a hell for the beleivers. Justice will not come on this world. But it will come when were all judged in front of GOD.
