Alawites, historically known as Nusayris, are a group you may have recently heard about, especially in connection with the Syrian conflict. For many people, this group might be unfamiliar, but their history and beliefs are actually a fascinating mix of religion, mystery, and politics.

It is best to follow the Al Quran and the Sunnah. You can never go wrong or wayward. May Allah guide us all.

Alawites think humans can be a spiŕit of God, like Trinitarians do with Jesus.

So you be the judge of how isĺamic that is.

I am Indonesian,
I first heard about this sect a few days ago when the Assad regime collapsed, so I checked the wiki and it's true that there is a sect that considers Ali as a physical manifestation of God.
then I checked again yesterday and it turned out that the word wasn't on the wiki, in fact when I changed it to English the word was there. So the words "Ali, the physical manifestation of God" can only be found on the English wiki, while they are not found on the Indonesian wiki. it makes me speculate that there are people who don't want Indonesians to know the teachings of this sect

It is very important, nonmuslims and even muslims know of the existence of the alawites!!!!
Most muslims don‘t know! I am Turkish and there are millions of alawites in TÜRKIYE. Muslims all over the world have to know who they are. They live among MUSLIMS but they are not really MUMIN MUSLIMS. ;)

In short, Alawites are not muslims. If your don't believe in the core fundamentals belief of islam, it doesn't matter what other beliefs u adopted, doesn't make u one.

The reason why they keep their beliefs secret is so that their beliefs don't get scrutinised and hence their followers don't leave.

A person said "(Allahuakbar)" later he said "(Subhanallah)" and after that he said "(Alhamdulillah)" he again said "(Allahummagfirli)" he also said (la ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz zalimin) in this he earned many many good deeds and that person is you

I gave up my Christian faith here in the United States. I’m so fed up with the religious hypocrisy.

So to put things in context, the majority of Alawites are very secular minded and historically have faced heavy persecution in Syria. Their women worked in Sunni houses and there were many cases of them giving birth to kids of their Sunni employers. Poverty forced them into such work.

The Latakia coastal region has an Alawite majority and if it turns out that the new Syrian authorities start persecuting them again, then they should definitely campaign for their own separate homeland, separate from the rest of Syria.

That being said, with US backed Kurds in control of North Eastern Syria and Israelis taking more of the Golan, a unified Syrian Republic isn't looking likely anyway.

Their concept of a Trinity according to my understanding is a Divine archetype which repeats through different historical epochs. In this dispensation it is represented by 'Aliy (as the embodiment of Allah on earth), Muhammad, Salman Al Farsi (Alayhum An Nur was Salaamullahi)

The Quran says that " Allah has given each nation it's own rituals and customs that they are to follow. "

So, what if it's not mainstream Islam, people have the right to believe what they want to believe as long as they don't harm another person in the name of their believes.

As a shia, 0:44 is wrong. He clearly told a successor and not only him past 11 imams also predicted Al Mahdi as being the 12th Imam. When Al Askari died. Shia's weren't divided.
