The issue with video playback is due to the codec that is used. Funny that the video playback app on the head unit doesn’t support that specific codec but the playback from within the dvr portion does. On your computer, the issue is the same, but you should be able to play files using VLC media player. That usually will play anything. The Windows Media Player doesn’t support certain codecs. MP4 is just a wrapper around the video file in which different codecs can be used.

Great video, I struggled all weekend with this camera trying to get it to work as a backup camera. So what universal backup camera will work. I do not see you listed one.

Did you try VLC to play them? It will play things that the standard players sometimes won't

Can you please tell me the cable labeled "back" which I assumed is for the tradicional back up camera, would it receives - or + ? for the radio to show the imagine.

The thing that turns me off about products like this are the file compatibilities and rediculous file sizes and most of all the clarity is a big one for me.
