Great to see you have the unit in hand, can't wait for your personal feedback & opinions.

Been following the phone from Chinese release presses and reviews, some pointed out some software bugs with camera (i.e blue tint phase detection in its view finder and softening text/shapes with the new HP9 telephoto). There's a ongoing update patch being roll out. I hope you can checkout whether it's been fixed. I've also heard the claims with improved battery life with the new Soc too. Thanks for getting your hands on it & can't wait for future coverages with it.

I have Vivo X90 pro plus. It is close to a perfect phone in all terms. For my taste at least. Brighter screen in 100 ultra? Yes. Better portraits (better detail) in medium light? Yes. Better battery? Yes. Better 15X or 20X zoom (max zoom in my opinion anybody need for a photo he keeps) Yes. Lets hope Vivo keeps also the build quality, Mine X90 survived when it felt on the street and an big Audi stepped all over it twice! with both left wheels. All work fine except selfie which have been replaced and now all good. So I don't know if I am gonna upgrade to ultra due to the cost but from now on only Vivo.

Will this be able to take pictures of paper A4 letter or text on products label? My x100 pro was useless in this. I had to return it, shame.

After the problems with camera lens fogging on xiaomi 14 ultra and quite disappointing sony 1 vi no sensors upgrade, I don't really know which camera phone to buy.

Everyone takes pictures of buildings, cool, but I'm interested with other everyday tasks, like shooting text up close etc. Looks like these phones with big sensors and lenses really need variable aperture. And option to shoot in full resolution in pro mode.

How's the video(everyone focuses on photography) as in ultrawide, day and night light, stability.
Also as I understand this is the Chinese version, they will not release a global version: how is the menu, is it fully translated to English? What's the overall performance please.

THANK YOU!! A new subscriber here!!! I have the 100 pro and my only complain is the selfie camera, I know it has fixed focus but the quality if you are a little far from the phone is awful. ( My 2020 Xiaomi had better focus 😅 ) I'm wondering if the autofocus in the front camera of the X100 ultra is working well?
