I remember staying up late just to read one more chapter of the newest harry potter book. Now years later, there are still unsolved mysteries in the wizarding world that make me think.

The archway in the Department Of Mysteries intrigues me. On one hand you can walk around it and theres nothing on the other side; on the other you pass through it and are never seen again. Its a true mystery. I think it symbolises death in the most blunt way; you can both see death and not see it at the same time. Its also about the acceptance of death.

Good video! I see some people have shared a few corrections already but I don't see anyone mentioning the issue with the Animagus topic. The Ministry having a record of all Animagi is due to the importance of everyone knowing who can transform, to avoid crimes or other acts using that form as disguise. For example if the Marauders had registered originally then it would have been easier to capture Peter Pettigrew.
Rita Skeeter was an Animagi that hadn't registered, hence why she was able to hear secret conversations and manipulate/blackmail people etc.

The Horcrux creation process is not irreversible, as you said in your video. Not according to Hermione. It requires the person to repent and understand the horrible nature of their crime, feel sorry for what they've done, etc, which is basically impossible for Riddle to do, so I guess you're right that it is irreversible (for Riddle).

The Dementors kiss was administered by the Minister of Magic out of fear and not by Barty crouch jr's father, in fact it would have been impossible for him to do that since he killed his father

9:30 I think the love room is specially made to study love as a legitimate branch of magic like all the other rather than the study of love itself. Like the kind of spell that Harry's mother cast unknowingly to protect Harry from Voldemort. It's just that they don't know enough about that kind of magic to make it an official branch of magic.

Whoa whoa whoa! big mistake in the Barty Crouch Jr story. The dementor's kiss was not administered by his father. At the time Barty was caught, Crouch Sr was transfigured into a bone and left in the woods. Minister Fudge ordered the dementors.

I personally think that the Veil is much older then the deathly hallows. And that the leaders of the magical world found it and built the ministry of magic over it to protect/study it

I think the veiled archway is an objectification of death after life itself. The fact that it is in the department of mysteries seems to be hinting at people observing it and being fascinated about it so much.

It is important to mention that 5:47 with thestrals experience of death itself is not the only criterion - it needs to be experienced consciously, because Harry’s mother have died in front of him when he was one year old, and he supposed to see thestrals starting with philosophers stone.

15:00 about Luna`s Mother being killed by a magical That's not how it went.
One of her spells backfired and that's why she died.

great video! outside of a few things that honestly i wouldn’t know if i hadn’t been a fan of this franchise for about a decade and a half (animagi don’t choose their forms, pandora lovegood died in a spell creation incident, the barry crouch jr bit, etc.), it’s a really good iceberg and you clearly have a lot of passion for what you do. would love to see more like this!

Keep at it bro. It takes time but youll get there. All i can suggest is maybe covering an iceberg that hasn't been covered yet 👍

Well done, despite the few mistakes (Crouch and Lovegood). Since I see you asking the others: I came for Harry Potter. One thing you mentioned that got me thinking was about the name Percival, which creates an iceberg of itself in this context. For one, the knights of the round table were via Arthur in contact with Merlin. The story of Percival is that of a young hero whith great ambition who makes a mistake as a youth that will take a great part of his life to make up for. And just remember it is also the name of Percy Weasley. Then the name itself - if it originates from Pryderi in the Welsh Mabinogi, there's a whole magical world to be found there. If it is derived from either Old French per ce val (through this valley) or perce val (pierce the valley), that brings up a whole new set of associations, from Psalm 23 to the hymn Jerusalem, fom Dumbledore as a shepherd to the line 'I will not cease from mental fight, Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand'. This gets richer every minute I think about it.

Actually the name Brian is very ancient and not modern at all, Brian Buru last high king of Ireland springs to mind.

Interesting video, well done! I have some well-intentioned notes on your script – there's a lot of repetition of phrases throughout ("serves as", ”adds a layer”, ”hints at”, ”the consequences of” and ”the narrative explores” for example), which can read a little monotonous or redundant, and it kind of dilutes the impact of your message.

I would also suggest re-recording lines if you flub them – it’s obviously impossible to read through a script like this without stumbling every now and then, but you’ll get a neater result if you re-record the lines.

Also, some of these topics you describe as theories when they’re fairly well-established lore. Like, the extended world of magic is pointed to not only in the core books (with the schools you mentioned but also with, for example, Charlie studying dragons in Romania), but also in the subsequent Fantastic Beasts films.

All this is to say, very good video and I mean no hate at all!

i feel like if love is a mechanic in their world that can solve many unexplainable issues then it works as long as its consistent and doesnt occur with fake love or a love that isnt deep enough.
