I've gotta say this is one of the most extensive and intuitive tutorials for anything I've ever tried to setup using YouTube. I couldn't thank you enough for how straight-forward and helpful this was in my understanding of Pegasus. Having come from Arc Browser, then breifly with DIG, I can honestly say Pegasus is the best looking and most tweakable frontend for android.

But man, there is a lot to configure! I hope as development on this one continues, we'll see them bridge the gap between functionality and ease of use. I dunno how you fit so much clean and clear information in a 12 minute video, but this guide was a freaking godsend.

Great video, i tried pegasus, got all the box art and everything, but it was just a mess. I didnt know what to change in the meta files so just gave up. This video explains it so well, i can now finish my set up. Thank you

Thanks so much for running through this.

I was full steam ahead until I hit the "waiting for scraping part".

I went through half a bottle of bourbon, paid for the $10 tier on Patreon and waiting for extra

REALLY good tutorial. You put a lot of work on this and It shows. Thank you for this.
I just got my RP2 today and immediately realized that I'd have to tinker with it.
This looks like a lot of work but I agree with you -- the results look lovely.

I tip my hat towards you for unpacking such techy information. Try as I may, I couldn't follow.

Thanks a ton. I just bought one of these devices for just over $30 since the new one is out now. I use Emuelec and Batocera but since this device runs on android it was between just RetroArch or paying for Dig and also paying for emulators. Don't get me wrong I get stuff running at full speed on RetroArch. But having used Pegasus on Linux before I like the look of it. It's a really cool frontend.

Hey guys, quick little tip because it took me ages to figure out; I could not for the life of me find out how to locate the SD card in File Manager, and could only access virtual storage. What you need to do is open MiX file explorer (preinstalled with RP2), use the mouse to click the settings bar in the top left to open your bookmarks, then select "Root". From there, go to Storage then select SDcard1!

FUNNY! Around 9 minutes I thought I heard something odd.... You were using Pikmin background music as my son was playing Pikmin on his Wii at the same time. My ears were getting confused ;)

Great vid! I love pegasus too. But you should know that DIG also can launch any emulator or app, you just have to create a custom emulator and provide its custom parameters.

My ROMs and everything shows up, but when I choose to load them it just goes back to the Pegasus menu after showing a brief loading logo? BT

Thanks for making this. I hate this front end. So much manual setup.

First, thank you for this video and the retroid pocket 2 set up videos, no doubt the best setup video on youtube. Second, pegasus isn't opening my gba games at all. The screen will just go black. I suspect it may be opening the wrong retroarch. Do you know how I can fix this?

Hi,
For PPSSPP file you supplied didn't work for me but then I changed last line [-d "file://{file.path}"] to [-d "{file.path}"] then it fixed. Maybe I have mi pad 4 and that why it wasn't working but Thanks for the file.

Yo, this works great, however the descriptions for all systems seem to not be detected? All of the thumbnails and such work perfectly, they launch just fine, but every system shows "No description found." even though I can see the descriptions in the .dat files. Any ideas?

Even with the metadata file you provided for ppsspp, I still get an error. Something like "exposed beyond app intent". It also will not work with Dolphin, it claims the file is not a proper GCM/Wii iso file but I know these do work with Dolphin. I am doing this off of my Android phone. I've noticed with most of these front ends that they have issues with loading into standalone emulators and ususally load very well with retroarch cores.

You’re a bit too fast in your explanation but great video anyways, and very helpful. I mean, there’s nothing stopping us from rewinding a few times, right?

I've been very excited to follow this tutorial for weeks, and I can see you've done an amazing job. I am a little stuck though - I can't get Pegasus to load from the right GBA RetroArch. I believe it is trying to load from the other RetroArch, which (as per your other video, thanks!) I don't have set up for GBA. I don't know why no-one else has encountered this problem though. It opens everything else just fine. Any help is so appreciated!
