That really pissed me off . Besides that the team was ok not too good or bad . I do feel like Lerma is a better option over Hughes . Wharton and Hughes have similar styles but I think Wharton needs a player like Lerma next to him not someone like him . A more physical presence that has the pace to pick up on guy on a break . Also a offensive threat from set pieces . They are also very light at the wingers position . Clyne isn’t a winger .

Palace were robbed! The momentum of the game completely shifted after the disallowed Eze goal and Brentford proved it by scoring a minute later.

Still though, Edouard has got to hold his run for the offside goal! A small mistake like that completely took Palace out of winning the game. I feel Edouard should have started because of preseason form and Mateta should have been the super sub at half.

All in all, it was still a good start to the season and Palace actually showed quality. I love this formation but if Eze/Kamada don't come in to cover the middle, teams will always be able to counter attack. Mitchell and Munoz were both absolute class.

Another signing before the window ends for squad depth would be great as well.

That freekick goal should have stood. That was pure daylight robbery on Eze and Crystal Palace.

It was a direct kick by Eze and the keeper was free to dive but the decision was bad. There was no one near the ball to stop the goal.

Refs who can't hold more than one syllable in their mind at a time need fired, man. You never see a right-footer pull off that free kick; it's one-in-a-million he got it from there.
