I wonder whether this Dr. was doing a comparison of the two oral irrigators or just trying to promote the Sonicare. Sonicare is Philip's recent oral irrigator model while the Waterpik Classic water flosser has been in the market for over ten years. The more recent Waterpik flosser models, such as Aquarius or Aquarius Professional, which are less expensive than Sonicare, give higher water pressure than the classic model and also have the massage /pulse feature. Waterpik Aquarius flosser also comes with more floss tips than Sonicare for different dental needs.

Personal preference is Hydrofloss; my gums and hygienist love the results😊

Philips makes the best household products hands down. Whatever I'm buying, if philips makes a version you better believe that's the one I choose.

Waterpik flosser, Sonicare toothbrush, and interdental brushes, all in under $100 total, and 10 minutes a day using them properly -VS- $5, 000.00+ PER TOOTH for an implant.

Sonicare seems significantly quieter. Is that a valid observation?

would be interesting to compare on some dirty surface to see which actually cleans better

Yeah Sonicare was the brand of my previous water flosser, but it started having problems with its battery. It just won't charge so I replaced it with an Oclean W10 and after comparing the price I just wished I didn't buy from Sonicare to save my self some money.

Ok I gotta say this is just silly. I stipulate that either of these has MORE pressure than is healthy to use on gums. When I was a teenager with braces, I once killed a cockroach with my Waterpik and blasted it to pieces... you want to think what that can do to gum tissue?? Oh- and they're great for cleaning the sink too, it's like a small sandblaster...

Would you do another comparison with the new Oral B water flosser? Please ❤

Sure compare a Waterpik model that is over 20 years old to the latest Sonicare. The pause function that you liked about the Sonicare has been available from Waterpik for a while now, it's not something unique to the model you have been asked to promote.

I am still confused about the highest pressure and maximum power applies on your gums ... doesn't any kind of high pressure applied daily lead to GUM RECESSION over time ? like in a couple of years for example ? Same with hard brushing and hard flossing
