4:30 *"We thought we were gonna find an avocado, instead we found a bowl of chili."*
(nods head in understanding) Ohhhh, now I get it.

One of your best episodes ever! Those close pics of Jupiter will never get old. If just our own solar system has this much variety and complexity, just think about how much more complexity is out there in other solar systems!

The core will be in a strange liquid form of iron. The amount of gravity squeezing the core is so great that the particle of iron are broken down and mixed into something we don't know yet. The gas giant is snapshot of how stars are formed.

"Independence day, 2016..."

I feel that Jupiter's cloud patterns implies the need of a quite solid, dusty, surface in order to shape these cloudy storms, otherwise there would be no such array of defined forms, it would just be huge standard colors pretty completely mixed.

Ugh. This is the kind of science programming that bugs me: people repeating what the narrator says, spliced-up interviews with real experts that rarely show the experts describing any of the details and not just letting them talk their talk.

Planets only with iron core have magnetic field, hence Jupiter was expected to have solid iron core initially.
