I have recently purchased 3 Tradewinds Hibiscus plants which I immediately transplanted from 4" planters into larger 10" planters using Miracle-Gro All Purpose Potting Mix, which contains fertilizers said to last for 6 months. In addition to those fertilizers, should I also use Miracle-Gro Liquid All Purpose Plant Food Concentrate on them ? If so, when should I start using it on them ? I don't want to kill my plants by applying to much fertilizer.

How to use

Add ½ a cap of Miracle-Gro® All Purpose Concentrated Liquid Plant Food to 1 litre of water.

Soak the soil around the base of each plant.

Reduce rate to ¼ cap per litre of water for sensitive, small or young plants.

Beds and borders, pots and containers, hanging baskets: mix a cap full into 4.5 litres of water in a watering can.

Gro-sacs, vegetable and fruit planters: Mix a capful into 4.5 litres of water in a watering can. Apply 4.5 litres per gro-sac or planter.

Sensitive plants, houseplants and young plants: Mix half a cap full into 4.5 litres of water.

Then it says other dosing. How can dosing change like that?
