HOW TO LEVEL A BUMPY YARD WITH PROOF!

This video discusses the process of how to level your bumpy lawn or field. It is a complete renovation using a tractor and attachments. Last year we made a video covering the tools and methods we used to transform a small section of our lawn from stump ridden to completely torn up to smooth and grassy green. But, we made it before the grass was in and didn't have the proof to show you! And that didn't feel right. So we're covering the process again, this time with the results to show.

Used my GWT stump bucket today for about an hour removing stumps and digging a hole for a new tree! Your renovation looks great!

Heavy duty flail mower with hammers and roller will take out high spots and start to fill in low spots. It helps if you’re in a place like Florida where new grass starts in a few days. It’s amazing how well it works over a summer, it’s like a golf course!

Curently watching these videos to help me decide what tractor to buy to finish clearing my rocky, clay filled pine forest

Which is to say: I'm currently reassessing my life choices. This is going to be so much work...

Good video. Close to how I did it for 25 years. When I was learning it would have been nice for these videos you do. Just got your universal forks. Love them. Keep up the awesome work. God bless.

Thanks Courtney! Currently tilling 9 acres of former cattle pasture, we reclaimed, to smooth and replant new grass on. Good to know this is the perfect time! Our passes are 1/4 mile each, so with a 62" tiller... it's about 60 passes, one way! Over 250 passes the other way! 1, 320 x 300 feet. Thank God for the cruise control we added to our JD 3038E -- LOL. The neighbors, all cattle ranchers, think I'm putting in a Par 3 golf course... ha! I just might... fore!!!

When I smooth lawns I use a tiller, then a rake, and finally a chain harrow drag with tines down and then I flip it so the tines are up for final finish.

just tilled up my 4.5 acres a few days ago. gonna roll it flat and smooth later this week, then spray it again and hopefully seed mid to late september

I've had pretty good luck leveling with a box blade. That said, you do have to fill the voids and then go over it multiple times to get a decent result. I'm sure a tiller would be much faster but I don't have the $3k to spend on a tiller right now.

I've always aerator in mid September over seed then put down starter Fertilizer

My dad's way was to give me and my sister a shovel, a weekend, and five bucks each.

New factory being built in my area that required a lot of earth moving. Once they were finished they hit every inch of dirt with who knows what but it's now the only green lawn in this whole drought-stricken area, and it's grown so fast they didn't have landscapers hired to mow it 😂

Can you please give a little more info on the "spray"? General purpose vegetation killer? D4D? Something that kills seeds?

Any thoughts or opinions on using a soil pulverizer in this case?

Looks great! Personally, I hate tilling. It is literally the last thing I will do to level ground. 99% of my leveling is done with a Harley rake. Just my preference

What soil prep do you do before overseeding? Scarifier?

G'day, another great video thnks. Two questions, does the hd duty CMC dethatcher fit the Land Pride quick hitch QH05 and is it possible to get a shipping cost to send to Australia. Tax will apply at my end because it costs more than $1000 AUD for the implement.

Will you be using the plug aerator on that as well?
