Fun fact: the actor who played Immortan Joe, is the same actor who played the main villain in the original Mad Max

I'd wager that Immortan Joe swerved to avoid Angharad not because he had any deep feelings for her, but because she was carrying his child. Another part of his personality not mentioned in his video is that he has passed over Rictus Erectus as the heir of his kingdom. Rictus, while being physically imposing, is in no position to lead the kingdom, as he suffers from an intellectual disability. So losing Angharad was losing Joe's last chance at producing a viable heir.

Wait? So this guy trained a lizard to carry rope up walls because he read it in a book one time and it actually worked?
This guy's awesome!

“May you ride eternal, shiny and chrome” best quote in the movie

I feel that his costume design is worthy of becoming as iconic and fitting to his respective world/franchise as Darth Vader/Sauron/Davy Jones/Voldemort, etc. It’s so fresh and unique and badass

Major props to Hugh Keays-Byrne who played Immortan Joe and Toecutter, the main villain from the 1st Mad Max movie.

Jack Nicholson truly was the highlight of Fury Road.

Apparently Colonel Jessup took that court room embarrassment hard. Look what the stress did to his health.

Also Immortan Joe: "You look amazing! You all look AMAZING!"

Truly my favorite Mad Max villain of all-time, it’s really cemented when he yells about how Max can’t handle the truth

Well now all the Few Good Men jokes don’t make sense

Fun Fact: For the movie, editor Margaret Sixel had roughly 470 hours of footage to edit. Watching it took three months.

Immortan Joe is a good representation of the type of actions and systems that would need to be put into place to establish a semblance of order in a post-apocalyptic environment. Everyone always wants to be the badass loner but I think a no-rules environment like the apocalypse would be open season for those with the ambition & strength to rule over others more-so than anything else.

Immortan Joe wouldn’t have had this problem if he was nice to his women

Title says "Colonel Jessup from A Few Good Men" but I was really happy to see this is Immorton Joe. Media Zealot also has a really good video on this guy

Immortan Joe IS Toecutter. Toecutter survived being hit by the tractor trailer, and the survivors from the toecutter gang (the ones who fell into tje river) nursed him back to health. After this he fought in the wars, using his given name. Note Toecutters megalomaniacal personality, the way he controlled the gang members was in a "because I say so, and I am your god" manner. Toecutter and Immortan Joe have identical personalities, use identical methods to control their people, look the same, AND have perfectly matching timelines. Immortan Joe and Toecutter are one and the same...
