Mad Max: Fury Road is one of the most adrenaline fueled action movies to come out in the last 10 years. With it's emphasis on practical stunts, immersive cinematography, and next level production design, Mad Max would push cinema to new heights. Aside from our heroes, Immortan Joe stole the show. Immortan Joe is a villain that stands above many in the genre, and provides a grim out look on the landscape of Mad Max.

"Do not, my friends, become addicted to water"
Every time I remember this line I feel uneasy. It's hard to be original at this point, but Immortan Joe is uniquely terrifying

I know this is off topic but the dude blazing on the guitar while all the action is happening is amazing. I watch that scene over and over 😅

Some co-workers at a former job used to nickname the guy who supplied the water tank as "Immortal Joe" 😂

He’s made even better in the prequel that just came out. He’s the smartest man in the room and always has a plan. The new actor did a great job of adding something new while paying respects to the man himself

His voice was the coolest. The way he says Mediocre is so funny and devastating to who he says it to

When I showed this movie to my dad he was sceptical because he didn't like the originals, but as soon as the action started he was revelling in it. A true masterpiece of practical effects, stunning camera work and subtle but impactful character moments.

RIP Hugh Keays-Byrne

Ride eternal, shinny and chromed, though the gates of Velhalla

I'd say one of my favorite moments from him in the film is the battle in the pass against the bikers. While telling the others to clear the rocks, he and his entourage commandeer the one vehicle that can get past the rocks and continue the pursuit on their own. I find it pretty terrifying in some respects.

Imortan Joe being the engine, but max being the driver is a great metaphor. And I wouldn't be surprised if this was the part of the mythology behind the screenplay

I think Immortal Joe is so bad because you can tell at one point he was the hero, that everyone learned to depend on, kept people alive, only hope in a place totally without any, that hanged around long enough to become the Villain.

When I saw the trailer for this movie, I knew it would be a great ride to see it in the cinema. What I didn't know is that it would be one of the better movies I've ever seen. I of my favorites, Immortan Joe is one of the great villains. Damn, it's been too long since I've seen this movie

It’s great because the movie doesn’t treat you like a child by explaining every part of itself. The world feels lived in and real to every character. You would never stop somebody walking on the sidewalk and explain to them who you are and why you’re in the place you’re in. Every line in Fury Road feels like it would be said if a camera wasn’t rolling. Which makes it incredibly immersive.

I remember perfectly when I went to watch this film in theaters with my father, we were passing by it and saw that it was showing amd he told "Mad Max? The old one?" And I told him that it was a new, so we stopped to watch it. It's been one of the best experiences I've ever had in the cinema and it's also one of the few that made me fall in love with cinema, every action scene was so thrilling and had us to the edge of our seats. That's why it's one of my favorite filma of all time

I see Immorten Joe as a post-apocalyptic Darth Vader minus the force powers and the lasersaber, of course. Evil, power hungry, egotistical, etc. Wearing a suit of armor and a mask. He's an over-the-top BADASS. R.I.P. to Hugh Keays-Byrne.

My absolute favourite movie ever. Everything to the directorial decisions to makeup and sound, the insane modded retro cars and amazing writing that tells a compelling story with very few words, and action that more than justifies itself. To me it's a perfect movie, doing exactly what it set out to do, and I really hope Furiosa comes to fruition, as I know it and the cancelled sequel went through a tumultuous production.

Fury Road is one of the best films of all time. The best Mad Max film in the series, hands down. My expectations for Furiousa are through the roof. I want George Miller to knock it out of the park and make us remember that he’s still got it.

This has to be one of the most badass movies I’ve seen with all those gas guzzling v8s and hard hitting guitar solos. Truly a masterpiece. This movie is made for metal heads and v8 enthusiasts
