*clunk, clunk * "What was that?" - Hint, it's your subframe. So you've done the research and landed on fixing the clunk with a locking collar kit instead of any other method.

Here we test out ECS Tuning's locking collar kit to see if it does eliminate subframe clunk and increase handling and turn in.

Glad to hear the clunking is going away, altough I am puzzled about how does that is even possible LOL.
Keep the good videos coming !

Do you think you could do a video on recommended tools for working on the mk6, I’ve looked at forums and they aren’t very clear as to what is good

Arent you supposed to get an alignment after doing that?

I don't 100% match what everyone's symptoms are. But my alignment got knocked off once it started acting weird, the center steering wheel feel is loose too. Almost feels like a bad tie-rod, or loose rear control arm. I think they're just super messed up from offroading. I'll give updates, I'm just doubtful such a shitty feeling is so simply fixed.

Subframe movement was how the camber was adjusted. Say you had 0 degrees on left side and 1 degree on the right, you'd slide the subframe so there was .5 degree on each side. Then you tighten the subframe down. You might need another way to adjust camber if you lock the subframe down, like new ball joints or adjustable lower control arms.

The gti from stock could use some nvh. It's boringly smooth. I came from ef Hondas which was a rolling death trap in comparison
