d/dz(Log(z)) not defined on the negative real axis, including zero. it is defined and analytic everywhere else.

I personally think video 6 should be before video 5. Otherwise Dr Steele is very good.

So why does imaginary-ness of z^2 +2 guarantees analyticity of Log(z^2+2)? Please help me out.
TIA

Is it acceptable to use x^2-y^2 when doing this kind of problems?

but i have a doubt that LOG(z) function is analitic where ?? in which condition ?? when z is real then it is analytic or not ???
