I graduated from Purdue University, Indiana with a Degree in Computer Engineering, a school that produced many of the best Engineers in the United States. For the last 15 years, even with 25 years of experience, it was tough to find a Job in IT because the Corporation prefers to hire people from India, they are cheaper, well behave, and could even work for free if they can come to America and have a Green Card and then Citizenship! Now Elon and Vivek want to bring in the country many more foreigners and leave American professionals out in the cold, the whole reason behind the H1B is the profits for Corporations, if American Professionals are hungry just because the American Culture is lazy and stupid (per Mr. Vivek’s comment!). To me, it sounds exactly like the UnitedHealthcare!
Finally, I have a simple question for my dear President Trump, please tell me if the phrase ‘American First’ is just a lie or a misunderstanding from the voters?!
If Trump is honest about ‘American First’ put in the Law that requires Corporations to hire at least 60% Americans and the rest 40% foreigners, please learn it from Singapore!

Not sure why this is a surprise. Trump has been fairly consistent on legal immigration. Immigrants with needed skills that contribute more than they take should be allowed to come in legally.

H1B Visas allow employers to hire cheap. Hiring professionals from 3rd world countries ( India 🇮🇳, Philippines 🇵🇭, Etc. ) cost less than hiring competent tech professionals in the U.S. H1B Visas literally means outsourcing jobs to professionals outside of the U.S.

Why is the news acting like these engineering jobs would have gone to Americans. How many kids do you know are coding and looking for engineering jobs? Most grads are getting business, marketing or art degrees. You can’t turn these people into programmers. These are highly skilled job that pays $150k starting.
