it's honestly ridiculous how much they push this idea. 1st of all, most plants produce fruit specifically TO be eaten as part of their reproductive cycle 2nd and, more importantly, plants are not animals, harvesting fruit from plants is not the same as killing an animal and anyone who tries to compare the two is being disingenuous in their argument and doesn't need to be taken seriously.

The whole reason the plant has a tomato is for something to eat it and then crap the seeds back out to spread the plants around. And tomato plants die back on their own at the end of season anyway. 😂
