For anyone interested in an answer to the loops question. This is from DD direct:

The attachment loops are all stitched on by hand, so it's likely there will be variations with these.
These loops are also only stitched onto the top of the tarp, whereas the loops around the edges are attached on both sides of the material so this will reduce the length slightly.
However, having longer loops at the top allows for a bit of flexibility and means they don't have to be tied too close to the ridgeline, allowing you to focus on using the ends to get the tarp taut.

Hi mate, I don't own a tarp yet but this is the one I've always had my eye on as I always try to go light as possible. Great video and where are you from buddy?
