The rich of the past had good taste compared to the rich of today.

Why are these rooms not open to the public?

I thought that it was only after George IV had died that the Centre Room was created. So I think it is misleading to claim that this room was George IV’s favourite room.

Sometimes I can understand why the french commoners thought heir rulers lived in decadence.

Frugality and simplicity should have been traits every monarch should have embraced.
But as always: Preaching water and drinking wine.
I can only see two very known monarchs in history who can be seen as dearly frugal:
George VI and his daughter Elizabeth II
(I cannot speak for monarchs of the rest of the european kingdoms because I simpy dont know them that much)
And to this day Imo Elizabeth II never stepped outside that box.

This featured room, as a feature of rich history as it is, is totally unnecessary and really tells the tale of decadence.

Oriental fashion is the worst that an English palace could get.

Bad choice calling it "oriental" style. "Oriental" is an offensive word and you should look up the meaning behind it. Maybe choose "Asian inspired" instead.
