As a Chinese kid that grew up in the 90s and watched reruns of "Journey to the west" on TV over and over again, I never really paid much attention to the OST initially. The opening theme music did not even have a name/title when the show first aired in 1986. At some point, this track suddenly became popular on the Internet and started being referred to by the name of "云宫迅音“, which loosely translates to "hasty sound in the celestial palace" and I gotta say it kinda suits this soundtrack. Until Black Myth Wukong became a big hit around the world, the soundtrack was picked as the main theme, not surprisingly, reiterated by the very composer of the original 1986 soundtrack, and was given the official name of "Celestial Symphony".

西游记用Guitar弹出来，更像是“西班牙游记” （It sounds more like Journey to Spain. Spain in Chinese is called 西班牙， the same 西 as the first character in Journey to the WEST）
