My grandma would make tortillas until the Albuquerque Tortilla Factory started selling them. Fast forward many many years later and my MIL makes them. She never buys store bought. I have my husband’s grandma’s recipe and when I’m not feeling lazy I make my own.

For anyone that feels like Lard is too much for them or just can’t find it anywhere here are several substitutes.
1. Butter
2. Canola Oil
2. Vegetable Oil

You forgot to add baking powder unless you're using self rising flour. I make them all the time.
