Mount Nemrut

In the south-east of Turkey, on one of the peaks of the Eastern Taurus mountain range (Taurus), at an altitude of more than 2000 meters above sea level, there is a mysterious place.

Here you can find the ruins of an ancient temple, famous for its heads and other fragments of destroyed statues. It is believed that this place is also the burial place of King Antiochus I.
