Damn it’s been YEARS since I was at camp Perry for the national matches. Yep manufactured row. Used to go to I think it was Springfield armory for the Gatorade/popcorn. Thanks for the memory flash backs.

I was there on July 19 and walk out with a 1903A3 in was a Service grade with a 2 and a 1 on the scale. Brother showed me a M1C that he said I need to add to my M1 collection. Thought about it, but wife said I would buy something but I think she would be unhappy wife 2. Happy wife, happy shooting life.😀

The average age of that town just doubled and Gunbroker opened a new warehouse.

Those M1's have gone up in price. I bought 4 in 1982 at $150 each. Then, in 1985, I bought a 1903a3 for $100. I guess it was a good use for my tax return.

That’s what the AFT should look like- training and equipping patriotic Americans to protect and defend

My wife would never let me enter that building.

How often do you guys have the 1917s, 1903’s, and krags, and m1 carbines in stock? And what kind of condition are they in? If they are pretty well stocked and the same quality as my service grade garand it would definitely be worth the road trip up there.

and at 1:26 neither the sales guy or the customer cares that a Krag with closed bolt is pointed at the guys gut?

I wish the store was open more. Seems like every time I’m in the area it’s early in the week and it’s closed

So if I came to visit can I buy? Do I have to have it shipped to my FFL? Always wanted to go through the CMP.

Do you ship to France? Asking for a friend, obviously.

The stress of "doing it right" & maintaining stock weld, sight alignment & consistent trigger pull will really drain you.
Competition shooting ain't for the faint of heart.

if only some more 30 carbine would turn up.
i was hurting for money years back and sold off what i had.
but now pushing 70, not sure if i should buy any more guns. or just sell off what i have.
no family to give them to. but the state of ca might confiscate them first.

Those prices are just ridiculous who the hell decided that those Firearms are worth so much money those rifles should be like $100 what the actual hell, the "Civilian" Marksmanship Program should be renamed to the wealthy Marksman program🤡💩🖕

You, CMP, totally lost all my support when you had those ridiculous rules and additional expenses for us Americans to be able to own our grandparents' 1911's. Getting TWO background checks? Being part of an approved collectors' group? Gee, isn't the Curios and Relics license proof enough to be an approved collector?? Not that it should be even necessary anyway. You completely ignored the fact that C&R licensees are in FFL 03's where not a single FFL transfer and additional background check should be necessary. And your prices - my goodness - those 1911's and every other surplus gun that you get your hands on should go directly to the private business market like AIM Surplus and J&G Sales who sell the guns at competitive prices. You have no competition so you do whatever you want. You claim that you had to follow the Army's rules to sell the 1911's and make up and enforce the ridiculous requirements. If that were true then you should have said No, that you would pass on the 1911 program.

I know that CMP does some good work in the firearm enthusiast community, but I just don't think you should be able to sell any surplus firearms anymore.
