Agreed. Major point in favor of the pancakes they work the adductors like there is no tomorrow a weakpoint for many weak squats.

I can deep squat since I was a kid but can't do a pancake to save my life! What can I do?

I need to start stretching again. In high school I could do the splits and was 205. I was also in cross country, track, and football. Very flexible because we stretched for 40-50 minutes everyday in track/XC. Got strength from lifting everyday in football. After marriage, I lost both and gained 80 lbs. After 10 years, I'm getting back into it and have lost 40 lbs but I can definitely tell I have lost majority of my flexibility.

I perform deep squat ecercise since last 2 years ...and it really helped to increase my overall body strength contribution it also helps you to lift more weight on your upper body...because the squat exercise helps you make your legs(base of your body)really strong....un ancient indian exercise routine, the deep squat exercise is really one of the main exercise and is advised to perform and practice in every workout....

Most depth problem in squat are mostly related to ankle mobility not that much on the hips.
