Noticeable : cheap saw you let it wobble more; fancy saw you supported the cut more.

Samurai is the best for the money. It’s not a folding saw but has a nice scabbard. It’s not better than a silky but it isn’t worse either.

4:13 With the thick wood, and using the Silky, I noticed you twice hung up on the blade, flexing it somewhat. I also noted at the same time you tended to saw with some pressure on the downward stroke. Now, a Silky saw is designed specifically to be used in a very definite way. This involve applying pressure on the PULL stroke ONLY. The return stroke merely helps to move some of the sawdust out of the kerf. If one exerts pressure on the return stroke (downward, in you case) this will tend to compress the sawdust rather than scraping it out.
The correct technique involves a sort of rocking motion: pull (with pressure), lift slightly and return slowly, exert pressure for the next pull stroke.
It is also recommended that one slow things down slightly, until this technique until it becomes part of muscle memory. This will ensure that your Silky blade will never bend or snap (a complaint often see on YouTube channels - unfairly in my opinion!).
You might well ask who I am to be telling you this. Well, I live on the large grounds of a school in the UK, and here the school has a full-time arborist, to care for the health of the trees and plants. This advice about Silky saws is from him, so yes, it is a Professional piece of advice. Also, Silkys are intended for use with green wood, as that is what they are designed for. Used properly, a Silky blade will probably last a lifetime, hence they don't sell blades for replacement!
Bushcrafters, outdoorsmen, campers etc quickly latched onto these benefits and bought them. Recently a new Silky range called Outback hit the market, one suspects because of the widespread interest for the saws among these folk. They really are worth a serious look at!

Cohglans makes a wicked little inexpensive saw that works pretty good in my experience. It cuts just as well as my Silky saws at a fraction of the cost.

Definitely worth it b/c it cuts faster... but why does it work/cut faster? Are the teeth sharper, are they set differently, same tpi on either saw... the quality is surely made up of lots of little details, let's hear what they are. In the end, a quick cut is valuable, but how/why does one saw achieve what the other doesn't?

I think the cutting stroke or cutting direction of those saws is backward of pulliing strokes...you should slightly lift the saw when you push it forward

If the branch is flexing, you are doing (holding) it wrong. Such a tiny branch is usually done by 2 or 3 strokes by the Silky.

I will put my Corona Razortooth against a Silky any day.

I always try to get the best tool of the type, because when I'm outdoors I need to have confidence in the gear I rely on.

For my emergency/survival kit, I don't source the contents from the $/£/Euro Store.

A cheap saw failing in use can inflict a serious injury requiring immediate medical attention to stop blood loss.

Likewise a cheap knife, etc.

Learning how to best use one's tools not only makes their use safer, it also makes it more efficient, requiring less energy and taking less time.

Technique beats brute strength and ignorance...

unsophisticated: 1, there are plenty good quality cheap hand saw available; 2, have you sharpened the cheap saw? The cost of the saw could be from the fact that it's not properly sharpened. I am 200% sure that once it's sharpened, it would cut perfectly, but of course if you are unsophisticated enough to make this video, I highly doubted that you are sophisticated enough to know how to sharpen a saw.
