Battlefield V VS. Battlefield 1 - Attention To Details

BFV is a really good game but I thought I would compare the details between Battlefield V and Battlefield 1 and see how far the engine has come in the time between releases.

I’d love to know what you think about these clips. IMO Battlefield V feels a little rough around the edges, likes it not quite finished yet. Saying that, I can’t stop playing it so I’m confused!

Why doesn't your character panic? Mine panics. I assume it's because you are throwing your own grenade instead of an enemy throwing one at you.

If it's an enemy grenade then yes your soldier panics I noticed that tonight

In BFV, if an enemy throws a grenade near you, your character will often goes panic

To be fair, BFV has details 1 doesn't have. Explosions creating a shockwave in tall grass and by flags. Heavy cannons (tanks, etc.) firing throws off your aim when you are nearby. Player reflections in glass. Melting holes in tanks with rockets. Plane sounds when they are shot down. Snow falling from the roofs of buildings. Buildings collapsing inward/outward depending on where the damage comes from and plenty more. However, I always felt like the graphics in BFV didn't seem fully up to par with BF1. Maybe its these small details that are throwing me off.

tbh, bfv's water effects on explosion is a lot more realistic.

For the grenades for BF5, I think dashing past the grenade will not have time for the player to react effectively. And when the grenades or explosives explode in swamp, it won't flood the ditch because there is too little water in the swamp. Besides, the depth in the beach in BF1 is deeper which means there is more water for flooding of ditch to occur. In the swamp, the ground will form a big ditch with not enought water the flood it.

A lot of these tests weren't really that well conducted.

Like in the BF1 water explosion clip, it was on a flat area, so the water could fill in the crater. In the BF5 clip, it was on a slope and there would be no way for the water to fill in the hole.

There is one small deatil on bf1 is when go prone and plant bipod you will hear the bipod squeezing

Everything, or mostly everything seems less detailed, ironically. The footprints are shallower, the amount of uncovered dirt in the snow, the mud is a lot less extreme (but when you dive into mud, gun forward, shouldn't it be practically covered anyway?) Did they really stop trying and caring? Also, remember having a full campaign? Now it's a glorified multiplayer tutorial with, what, 4 short stories and one being apart of DLC (so they sell you an incomplete game, great.) They really are greedy.

If BF5 doesn't have woman soldiers that would be awesome, when i hear womens screaming in the battle it irritates me ...

I remember when Battlefield3 came out, and I thought graphics could never get better than this.
But then came 4 and blew my mind.
Battlefront and Battlefield1 looked just like real life, and now we have V.
