To see more accurate representation of the file I'm capturing I don't change all the shadow and highlights and so forth instead I set one of the function buttons to toggle the setting preview picture effect. This lets you instantly see a very flat image that is accurate to what the raw is capturing and the histogram becomes much more reliable.

Thanks a lot for the tutorial here, Faizal. I love street photography and your work.
I've seen another tutorials where they shoot on AF-S but with Zone (instead of Single Point). Why is that? Which are the benefits of each one? I've read that zone gives you that speed for taking the exact moment, without needing to take care of moving your point so much on the screen.
