Initial reactions to Washington state primary election results

With the election polls officially closed in Washington, early primary election results show Bob Ferguson in the lead for the governor’s race.

Dave Reichert appears to be in second place.

These results are not official. County Canvassing Boards will have until Aug. 20 to certify results. The last day for the Secretary of State to certify Primary Election results is Aug. 23.

The top two vote-getters from the primary election will face off in the November general election.
